1. Acceptance of Terms
By using ShareStack you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service. Continued use after any update to these terms constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Service Description
ShareStack is an open-source, browser-first tool that lets creators publish video to supported platforms - starting with TikTok via the official TikTok Content Posting API. The application runs entirely in your browser; there is no ShareStack account or subscription.
3. Permitted Uses
You may use ShareStack to:
- Publish video content to your own TikTok account using TikTok's official API
- Manage and review the publishing status of videos you own
- Self-host or fork the open-source codebase under its licence terms
4. Prohibited Activities
You may not use ShareStack to:
- Violate TikTok's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or API usage policies
- Publish spam, misleading, illegal, or harmful content
- Access or modify another user's TikTok account without authorisation
- Reverse-engineer or misuse the TikTok API beyond its documented scope
5. TikTok API Compliance
ShareStack operates under TikTok's Developer Terms and the Content Posting API programme. Your use of the TikTok integration is additionally subject to TikTok's own Terms of Service.ShareStack makes no warranties regarding TikTok API availability, rate limits, or policy changes.
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of this service is also governed by the ShareStack Privacy Policy. We access only the TikTok data you explicitly authorise, and your access token is stored locally in your browser, not on any ShareStack server.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
ShareStack is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that publishing will always succeed - TikTok API availability and your account standing are outside our control.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShareStack and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to content loss, account suspension by TikTok, or failed uploads. Your sole remedy is to stop using the service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes via the project repository.
